Clinical Application of Interface Pressure Mapping
A combination didactic and hands-on full day course focusing on the clinical application of computerized Interface Pressure Mapping (IPM). Lecture included principles of pressure management, guidelines for use of IPM as a tool to assist with clinical decision making for the selection of wheelchair cushions and other support surfaces, considerations for interpretation of IPM findings use of pressure mapping for consumer education (e.g. effective pressure relief strategies) and description/comparison of three popular commercially available IPM systems.
