A presentation of experiences of a therapist/RTS as a team member traveling to China/Tibet, Vietnam, Ukraine, Trinidad and Costa Rica through case studies. Many similarities as well as difference in problems and solutions will be shared.
3rd world countries have children and adults in great need but with little or no affordable assistive technology available to them. Interesting challenges in the fitting and deliver of chairs, roadside evaluations and makeshift seating clinics will be shared.

About the
2007 Symposium
The Central Remedial Clinic held the first European Seating Symposium in Dublin, Ireland. With delegates and speakers attending from all over the world it proved to be a big success.
This unique Symposium addressed diverse issues for people with physical disabilities and those working in the area, including seating and postural management and how these can influence and enhance independence and well-being.
