“Proteomic Profiling of X-Linked Muscular Dystrophy”
Dr. Ohlendieck was awarded a principal investigator grant from Science Foundation Ireland in 2004
for studying the proteomic profile of skeletal muscle fibres. Over the last 12 years, the European
Commission, the Wellcome Trust, the Health Research Board, Enterprise Ireland and Muscular Dystrophy Ireland have funded his research into skeletal muscle biology. For this work, he received
the 2006 IAS Medal from the Biochemical Society.
